23.1.3 Defining a Quadratic Function

Core idea

Whenever the highest power in the expression is a squared term, you've got a quadratic, y=ax²+bx+c (with a≠0).

Module goal. Pick up the family of functions you've already met, get to know quadratics as a new member, and build their algebraic definition.
