27.3.5 Testing Collinearity with Coordinates

Core idea

Two vectors are parallel exactly when their cross-multiplied coordinates match, x₁y₂−x₂y₁=0.

Module goal. Use two non-collinear vectors as a base to describe any vector, then bring in coordinates so geometric operations turn into plain arithmetic.
